Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (2 oz)
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (I used fresh parsley that I had frozen)

Pizza

  • 1/2 batch Simple Homemade Pizza Dough* (see link to recipe below)
  • 1/4 package bacon (any size package is fine)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion optional but tasty
  • iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.
  • In a medium-sized pan or pot, combine the minced clove of garlic, cream cheese, milk, salt and pepper. Whisk occasionally over medium-low heat until the cream cheese starts to soften and break down, then whisk together until creamy and free of lumps. It will take about five minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mince parsley. Stir the minced parsley into the white sauce, let it cool for a minute or two if you'd like, and then spread over your prepared dough.
  • Cook 1/4 package of bacon during this time as well (or whenyou're making the dough, if that applies). **
  • Shred about 3/4 cup of cheese and slice an onion into thin slices (optional but tasty!).
  • Press prepared dough into a greased pizza pan.
  • Assemble pizza: on top of the sauce, sprinkle cheese. Cover cheese with tomato, then with slices of onion and crumbled (cooked) bacon.
  • Bake in preheated 450 degree F oven for 12-14 minutes (check the bottom of the crust to make sure it's browned and cooked through) for one pizza, or 16-17 minutes for two pizzas, rotating them from top to bottom rack halfway through.
  • Top with shredded iceberg lettuce and enjoy! :)

** I really like cooking it in the microwave because it's hands-off and fast. I use a plate similar to this one, except it's ceramic.
